Feet are the foundation of the body. They support you when you stand, walk, or run. Feet also help protect your spine, bones, and soft tissues from stress as you move. Obviously with all the biomechanical compensation we undergo, your feet will become involved. I have found that by using state of the art heat moldable sports orthotics we are able to statabilise many chronic conditions more quickly than previously possible.
If you have arch pain, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, shin splints, calluses, corns bunions, or hammer toe, cramping, aching or tired legs, you can achieve an improvement. Certain types of leg, lower back and neck pain can be alleviated. The support that is provided helps control excessive pronation and helps with mid-foot, heel, ankle, knee, hip, and lower back pain. If you have a neuroma, geriatric, or diabetic foot problem, orthotics can provide you with needed protection and comfort.
Imbalance in your feet can distort the skeletal architecture of your body. While foot orthotics will not make a marked improvement in posture, they may eliminate posture problems or pain caused by your feet.
If you have any more questions about your feet or you are experiencing any type of foot pain please call and make an appointment at Southern Chiro Health and Wellness, Caringbah and we can do a complete foot analysis. We have many patients who have experienced phenomenal results with orthodics.
